The nationally recognized Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) chose Howard CDM to build their first ground-up facility. The two-story, 62,100 sq. ft. Dance, Music and Science Center was a 14-month, $15 million project comprised of:
- Fourteen dance studios
- Eight state-of-the-art science labs
- Three instrumental music and choir rehearsal rooms
- Sixteen practice rooms
- Offices, dressing rooms and storage
The building’s design blends the industrial looks of an exposed CMU exterior, exposed decking and polished concrete floors with softer, more artistic features including a sleek glass lantern entryway lit with decorative pendent light fixtures and warm, rich hardwood dance studio floors.
