Celebrity chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters” and Food Network’s “Too Hot Tamales” chose Howard CDM to create their 8,700 sq. ft. restaurant. Once Ciudad, the now urban outpost Border Grill stands at the heart of Downtown LA. The spacious main dining room features a cubistic design created by Milliken’s architect husband Josh Schweitzer. Continuing with the theme, the stocked bar is paired with square cushioned bar stools and cube-shaped hanging ceiling lights. The murals on the walls inside add a festive flair to the bold flavored Mexican cuisine it serves. Outside, the bright signage acts as a welcoming invitation for enchiladas or a handmade margarita inside. With its prime location, diners can also enjoy their meals while overlooking breathtaking views of downtown.
