The acclaimed restaurant group Sprout LA selected Howard CDM to transform the southwest corner ‘stall’ of The Original Farmer’s Market into a concept-driven, Spanish/African restaurant concept titled “Moruno.” The 3-month renovation involved structural reinforcement of an existing patio canopy, detail-intensive steel shelving units, custom IPE tables and banquettes, and a series of custom-fitted operable window systems. The cozy space features vibrant burgundy, orange and gold paints with rustic tones of oiled wood tables and the exposed metal canopy, aimed to enhance the clientele’s dining experience.
