FATHER'S OFFICE DTLA

LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA
OWNER: CHEF SANG YOON
ARCHITECT: MASS ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN

Howard CDM constructed Chef Sang Yoon’s famous burger concept’s third location in Downtown LA after the rise of the name’s notoriety at its Santa Monica and Culver City Helms Bakery locations. Located within a prime strip of the historic Arts District, DTLA Father’s Office is the brand’s newest addition and largest store, to date. The 15,000 SF space is located inside the 15,800 SF Garey Building in the Arts District, a development comprised of two five-story buildings adjacent to a 50-foot-wide pedestrian walkway, offering of commercial space for a variety of restaurants, cafes and retail uses. The Father’s Office scope of work includes a patio with a sloped ceiling beneath intricate millwork made up of dark woods. The restaurant features glass exterior walls overlooking the bustling Arts District with black leather details throughout the space.

Adjacent to little Tokyo and easily accessible to the Metro Gold Line and the freeway, Father’s Office DTLA is located in the walkable blocks across from the prestigious Hauser Wirth gallery; perfect for an afternoon adventure or after work craft beer. With the large warehouse-style design, the restaurant’s capacity allows over 200 people, including outdoor patio space as well as private dining options for any sized gathering. Inside the expansive space, guests will find familiar fare as well as some Arts District-exclusives, including an ever-changing offering of beer, wine, and house cocktails.
