The Buena Park Navigation Center is a transitional homeless shelter facility at 6494 Caballero Boulevard built from 48 40’ repurposed shipping containers. An approximate 15,360 SF portion towards the front of the site serves as a separate men’s, separate women’s locker room style showers, a catering kitchen, office space, clinic space, and a conference/classroom space.
This transitional shelter, a total of 150 beds, offering 90 beds for men, 49 beds for women, and 10 beds for couples with medical offices, common areas, work stations, a dog run, laundry room, and indoor/outdoor congregate spaces.
Additional scope of work includes:
• Sitework grading
• Foundations and all concrete work
• Landscape and hardscape
• Irrigation
• Freestanding canopies
• Gutters and downspouts
• Signage
• Module Anchoring and attachments
• HVAC connections and commissioning
• All utility connections to the property
• Fire sprinkler connections and final testing
The facility provides a stable setting with healthcare and other services. The facility’s long-term goal is to provide clients with the resources they need to permanently transition off the streets.
