UBUNTU CAFÉ

LOCATION: SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA
OWNER: FELLIPPE ESTEVES + DANIELLE SOLDATI
ARCHITECT: SPACECRAFT

Rooted in the philosophy of togetherness and warm hospitality, Ubuntu brings a refined yet soulful dining experience to San Juan Capistrano. Ubuntu, affectionately known as “The Greatest Neighborhood Café,” began in Long Beach as a California-inspired cafe with global influences and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant’s newest location continues its tradition of thoughtfully prepared food and an inviting atmosphere that reflects the historic charm of its surroundings.

Located in River Street Marketplace of San Juan Capistrano, Ubuntu offers guests a menu centered on seasonal ingredients and elevated comfort dishes, complemented by craft beverages and attentive service. The restaurant is designed to feel intimate and timeless.

Howard CDM delivered a carefully executed interior that aligns with the restaurant’s ethos and aesthetic. The scope of work included interior construction, a fully equipped kitchen, custom finishes, and upgraded power and lighting throughout. The completed space seamlessly blends functionality with warmth, supporting Ubuntu’s mission to create a place where food, culture, and community come together.
