Situated on Melrose Ave. between furniture and design stores in West Hollywood, Zinc Café + Market Melrose is Zinc owner + president John Secretan’s fourth location since opening his first in Laguna Beach in 1988 with his mother Rosemarie. Zinc Café + Market’s mission is to provide employees and guests with a sense of place through a thoughtful and artistic vegetarian menu + environment. Many of Rosemarie’s original dishes remain on the Zinc menus to this day. John first saw the building over 20 years ago and has always kept a close watch on its availability which now houses Zinc Melrose.

Howard CDM worked alongside Secretan and Evan Raabe Architecture to reinvent this 10,000 SF dream corner lot to accommodate a bright and calming indoor dining room, expansive outdoor veranda capturing the “secret garden” energy, retail market area and new private dining room embracing the existing wooden floors.
